Hello, my name is Derek White. I am a 33 year old film maker based out of the Hudson Valley. I shot my first wedding in 2014 and haven’t looked back since. 175+ weddings and 10 years later, I am still loving every wedding I am a part of. Being a married myself, I know how incredibly important your day is and we like to treat it as such. If you landed here and you aren’t looking for my wedding services then maybe you’re looking for Good Time Film Co or Good Time Film Studio. This is my film production company located on Main Street in Poughkeepsie where we shoot broadcast commercials, short films, social media content and host shoots for companies like HBO, A24, CBS and more at our studio. Although my career is shifting into different realms of filmmaking, I will always shoot weddings for DWhite Visuals, I love it too much.

So, I think this is the part where I easily relate to every single one of you by saying arbitrary things like, I love tacos, pizza and a nice craft beer. Or maybe that I have seen The Office 12 times and hated the last season of Game of Thrones. While all of this may be true, I feel it is a bit corny to start writing about yourself in the third person because every other photographer and videographer’s website follows those guidelines. What’s that about? Hopefully you landed here from a family/friend reference or a venue recommendation. Those things are way more valuable to me than posting on IG. There is true effort and care that we take here at DWhite Visuals. We don’t just show up, catch some b-roll and see what we can come up with later. We have a formula but ultimately we just want tell the best story of you two! We provide a product that is shot cinematically with pace, momentum and structure. Color graded meticulously to make colors pop while also maintaining organic skin tones. We choose our taste in music that you can nod your head to and not music for a high speed car commercial.
